Miss Brock teaches literature.
Ms. Brock has been teaching literature for 11 years in private and charter schools around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She currently teaches 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English at Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth. She holds a Masters in Humanities with a concentration in literature from the University of Dallas and loves to integrate studies of literature with the history of the times as well as the ideas influencing the literature as well. When she is not teaching, she is playing her ukulele, entertaining her friends with paleo dinners, traveling to small Texas towns, and reading books.
Miss Brock teaches the following courses:
Traitors, Traditions, True Patriots: Literature About the French and American Revolutions (Middle School)
The Heroic in Arthurian Literature (Middle School)
Mark Twain; Friends, Fiends, and Freedom in the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Middle School)
English Literature and the Question of Evil (High School)
"This class was absolutely wonderful and (I feel, and I'm sure my parents do too) helped my writing tremendously. Ms. Brock was helpful and quite funny, and I was very happy with the interesting homework (it's nice to write something other than five paragraph essays once in a while!). Again, I can't thank everyone at Homeschool Connections and Ms. Brock enough. Awesome class!
