What is an affiliate?

An Affiliate is someone or some organization that desires to promote our company by placing a link to our website on their site, blog, newsletter, or search engine generated ad.  When someone clicks on that link from your site, blog, or ad and purchases our subscription service you receive 10% of the proceeds for as long as the customer continues their subscription.   

Who is eligible to become an affiliate?

The Homeschool Connections Affiliate Program is an excellent business opportunity for Church Goods stores, bookstores, youth organizations, online media portals, blogs and general trade distributors and retailers serving Catholics.

Even those businesses and organizations not structured for Internet sales will find our program easy to use as part of their regular email and e-newsletter customer promotions.

What do I need to become an affiliate?

Nothing! You don’t even need a website (although having your own website helps). You can also choose to promote Homeschool Connections memberships via other electronic communication to your customers. Email and e-newsletter click-through sales can be just as successful as website-to-website.

All you need to do is to send a visitor to our site via a special link (called ‘affiliate link’), and if he or she buys an membership from us, you will get a commission on the sale price.

What is my earning potential?

The answer to this question depends upon how many customers purchase our subscription service. Assume that your site leads to 100 subscriptions annually. In year 1, you will receive $3 per month per subscription. Hence, you will receive $3,600. In year 2, assuming you have  a total of 200 active subcribers from your site you will receive $7,200, etc.

How do I know I will be paid for my referral?

The Homeschool Connections Affiliate Program is powered by Post Affiliate Pro, the leading affiliate tracking software. Post Affiliate Pro uses a combination of cookies and IP address to track referrals for best possible reliability. When the visitor follows your affiliate link to our site, our affiliate system registers this referral and places a cookie on his or her computer. When the visitor pays for the product, the affiliate system checks for the cookie (if not found, checks for IP address of referral) and credits your account. 
This process is absolutely automatic.

When do I receive payment?

All of our affiliates will receive payment on a monthly basis once they have surpassed their defined minimum.  When you sign up you will be asked what is the minimum trigger amount you want to receive on a monthly basis.  For example, if you set this minimum to be $100 you will only receive a payment when you have crossed this threshold. 

How will I receive payment?

You will receive payment either through Paypal or a regular check.

How do I set up an account?

Setting up an account is very easy and it’s completely FREE. You don’t have to pay to become an affiliate.

Go to the Join tab above and complete the Homeschool Connections Affiliate Sign-up Form. After a review by Homeschool Connections, you will receive an email with your password and other startup information.

As our Affiliate, you will have your own control panel where you can see detailed statistics of traffic and sales you referred, news and training materials and a choice of banners and text links.

Then you only need to place an affiliate link, banner, text link or other link on your website or in promotional emails, so you can start sending customers to our website.

What is the Affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that is coded to your business so we can track any customer back to your website (or promotional email/newsletter). Once approved, you will get the URL’s for different banners in your affiliate panel after login.

What other considerations should I keep in mind?

We do have some basic ground rules for the program, so please read before signing up:

1. All participants must either have a Pay Pal account or provide us with a physical mailing address in order to receive payouts.

2. All participants in the US must enter a US Social Security or Taxpayer ID number. International customers simply enter “International” in this field. We will collect this infomation after you sign up and are approved by us to be an affliate.

3. You may NOT receive credit for referring yourself.

4.  You may NOT promote sales to people who don’t want to receive electronic communication from your business or organization. Your site does not and will not make use of any form of unsolicited commercial e-mail (“spam”).

What must I do now?

1. Click here to access our Homeschool Connections Affiliate Sign-up Form.
2. Fill out the Homeschool Connections Affiliate Sign-up Form.
          – NOTE: as you fill out the form you will create your own Referral ID and the Parent Affilitate field can be left blank.
3. Once approved, you will be able to access the code to embed in your site.
